THESE TYPES OF MOTORS USUALLY DRAW BETWEEN 15 - 21 AMPS AT 230V. IF YOU ARE USING A 2HP MOTOR TO POWER THIS PUMP, YOU WILL HAVE TO SLOW DOWN THE RPM OF THE DO PREVENT OVERLOAD ON YOUR MOTOR. THE RPM OF THE PUMP WITH A 2HP MOTOR SHOULD BE AROUND 700RPM AND WILL GIVE YOU 5-8 CFM FLOW RATE ON AVERAGE. WITH A 5HP MOTOR SPINNING AT IT MAX RPM WOULD GENERATE BETWEEN 16-18 CFM WITH THIS MSL18MAX PUMP.
