Teapot Kettle Kyusu Tetsubin Nanbu Tekki Cast Iron Nambutekki Dragonfly

Teapot Kettle Kyusu Tetsubin Nanbu Tekki Cast Iron Nambutekki "Dragonfly". 20.0cm x 15.5cm.

Height: 13.2cm with handle raised (7.5cm to lid). ¦It can be used over an open flame.

¦Stainless steel tea strainer is included. Each piece is carefully crafted by artisans. The modern design, backed by traditional techniques, is sure to be used with lasting affection.

When starting to use a new tetsubin, lightly rinse the inside of the tetsubin with water. After rinsing the inside, boil the water and throw it away 2 - 3 times before use. Throw the hot water away while it is still hot, and then dry the inside of the tetsubin by leaving it or reheating it lightly without water. Be sure to transfer any hot water remaining in the tetsubin to a pot or other container and leave the tetsubin empty to prevent rust.

Due to the material of iron, rust will always occur in an iron kettle. After about 3 months of use, rusty red spots will gradually appear inside the tetsubin, followed by stains on the inside of the tetsubin.

These spots and stains should not be removed, as they add to the unique sweetness of the water and make the tea tastier. Even if rust appears inside, if the boiled water does not turn red, it is stable and can be used as is. Thank you for your understanding.
