The Milan with Back Boiler 18kw Multi-Fuel, Wood Burning, Range, Stove, Oven, Cooker. The Milan is an impressive wood burning Range Cooker / Oven that is made in Europe to a very high quality standard of construction and finish. Finished in charcoal grey with contemporary polished silver brass handles, this stylish range oven incorporates a large oven and large surface hotplate and the facility to heat hot water for domestic use and central heating. The Milan offers a nominal heating output of 10.6 kw to room heating and 7.4kw to water heating. The back boiler is serviced by 2 water port connection, 1 x flow and 1 x return and has a maximum operating pressure of 2 bar, meaning that it can be used with a vented or un-vented hot water system.
NB at least 2 forms of safety should be installed on an un-vented hot water system. Two front doors, both incorporating ceramic glass windows, service the firebox and oven. The Milan incorporates both primary and secondary air controls to allow complete control over the burn rate and temperature output, essentially the Milan is very controllable and easy to manage, making it an user friendly stove cooker. The top of the Milan is one large hot plate, there is a removable circular plate over the firebox, this can be used to sit a kettle or pan on top, or you can remove the plate and have the kettle / pan directly over the firebox to provide maximum heat. The Milan incorporates a chrome towel rail across the front and a metal tray base - as per the photographs.
The oven is twin walled to allow hot air from the firebox to circulate around the outer wall of the oven. This allows the oven to heat up very rapidly so that you don't have a long wait before you can start to cook. An advanced convection system (air wash) draws air in through the bottom, which then passes around the combustion chamber to maintain extremely efficient heating , this also ensures clean burning and helps to keep the ceramic glass windows clear. The combustion chamber is fully lined with firebricks to prolong the life and heating efficiency, and a multi fuel grate allows for easy lighting. The large oven has a manual temperature control to manage the heat when cooking.
